A Destroyed ChurchA Destroyed Church

As the verse above states, no one is immune to tragedy and sadness in this life; unsaved or saved.

As most of you know, Peru suffered a major earthquake devastating several cities and villages. Here at Efata we only had minor damage to water pipes and cracking in some of the buildings walls & ceilings. Over 540 have died in this event. Many homes were destroyed; especially those made of adobe. People were without food, water and basics. Help was slow in arriving; however, thank the Lord it is beginning to come. Unfortunately, many of the families in outlying areas are not getting the relief. On our website, you can see additional photos of the devastation. It is hard to describe.

On the StreetOn the Street

We have joined together with several churches in Lima to send relief supplies to the area. Most of the churches were badly damaged as well as the homes of the pastors and their families.

We will continue to send assistance as we are able. I would like to ask each of you to pray and consider what you can do to help these very needy people. We have taken Bibles, gospel tracts and all the food, water and basic supplies that we could to help.

On our last trip into the area, we were able to lead two people to the Lord.

In other news we have had several saved and 13 baptized and several added to membership in these months here at Efata.

The family is doing fine. As many of you know, Lisa and I are expecting again. The Baby is due in January and we are very excited about this. Please pray for Lisa’s continued health. She appears to have fully recovered from the back surgery and has not had any complications with that.

Thank you all once again for your care for us and God bless you as we continue to partner together to serve Christ.

God Bless,
